As the February 22 local government election in Osun State approaches, the Organizing and Publicity Secretary of Omoluabi Progressives, Comrade Abosede Oluwaseun, has revealed the groups intention to prioritise individuals over political parties in their alignment strategy.
Speaking during the weekly Twitter Space organized by Osun Defender on Friday, Comrade Oluwaseun stressed the need to focus on the competence and credibility of candidates rather than their party affiliations.
We will focus on individuals rather than political parties, he said.
He added, Our goal is to assess the candidates contesting and align with those we believe in. In advanced democracies, emphasis is placed on individuals and their capabilities, not just party affiliations. Let us rally behind those who are truly better and capable of delivering meaningful change.
