Dignitaries arrive as Fifth Sportsville Recognition Awards holds

Organisers of the Fifth Sportsville Recognition Award have assured dignitaries and all the participants in the yearly event of a night of entertainment and networking in a peaceful atmosphere.

The 2025 Sportsville Recognition Awards holds today at the Eko Club, Surulere, Lagos.

Speaking after inspecting the setting at the Blessing Hall of the Club located at Bode Thomas, in Surulere, Sportsvilles CEO, Frank Ilaboya, expressed satisfaction with all aspects of the planning.

He said: Now, we can say that all is set. We want our special guests, dignitaries and distinguished awardees to be very comfortable and feel at home at the venue.

We promised last year to make this edition better and that is why we have been working very hard to do just that. I am certain, Thursday night will be a pleasant evening for us all.

The Chairman of the ceremony, Arise TV Anchor, Oseni Rufai, is expected to be at the event along with other top personalities who have confirmed their attendance.

The Chief Executive Officer of Nigerias leading microfinance bank, Leap Above Poverty (LAPO), Dr Godwin Ehigiamosoe, and The Nation Newspapers Managing Director, Mr Victor Ifijeh, have equally confirmed their attendance.

There are seven award categories in this years event. The categories are The Icon Category; Sports Administrator of the Year; Achievers; Football Administrator of the Year; Special Recognition; Innovative, and the Corporate Award.

The President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF), Dr. Uyi Akpata, is on the cards to be honoured as the Sports Administrator of the Year, while Enugu Rangers General Manager, Ameobi Ezeaku, is billed for the Football Administrator of the Year award.
