Viva Las Vegas! While some celebrity weddings are all about opulence, some of our favorite stars have enjoyed a classic quickie wedding in Sin City.
Short and sweet, whats more, romantic than a Las Vegas wedding? People from around the world have flocked to Sin Citys famous Little White Wedding Chapel, and even some of Hollywoods hottest stars have exchanged their I dos in the desert.
While some (actually most) of the couples whove eloped in Vegas have not lasted, there are some that have weathered the test of time, such as Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. The couple, who shares three kids together, is considered one of the most unbreakable couples in Hollywood. In fact, they often reference their quickie nuptials on her daytime talk show when Mark fills in as co-host.
As for those who did not last? That list is a long one. Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton, Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck who got hitched in Vegas and later divorced.

Twenty years after they originally were engaged, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez finally exchanged ‘I do’s’. The couple wed at the iconic Little White Chapel, like so many more. J. Lo wrote about their special day for her fans, saying, ‘We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.’
However, two years after exchanging vows, the couple split. J. Lo filed for divorce from Ben in mid-2024.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker got fake hitched during Grammys weekend in April 2022. The duo kept things low-profile, using the chapel owner as a witness while an Elvia impersonator presided over things. They weren’t able to find a marriage license in the wee hours of the morning making the nuptials unofficial.
Nicholas Cage and Riko Shibata got hitched in Las Vegas on Feb. 16, 2021. Riko is his fifth wife and they announced they were expecting a child in Jan. 2022.
David Harbour and Lily Allen made their red carpet debut at the 2020 SAG Awards and were hitched in Las Vegas on Sep. 7, 2020. It was in a wedding officiated by an Elvis impersonator.
Arie Luyendyk Jr and Lauren Burnham first got hitched in Hawaii, but renewed their vows in Vegas the next years. In a YouTube video, the duo explained, “We always joked about running away to Vegas.” Lauren added: “We thought it might be a good idea and we decided to do it anyways even though we’re already married.”
A classic pairing that didn’t last… Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere wed 1991 in Las Vegas. “It wasn’t the wedding I dreamed of. It was so last minute,” Cindy would later admit. The model and actor divorced in 1995, and Cindy has been married to restauranteur Rande Gerber since 1998.
Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth traded rings in Vegas in 2016. Though it was originally thought to be a performance bit, he later confirmed the nuptials were real. The couple have been on-and-off since and welcomed a child together in Apr. 2022.
The couple eloped in Las Vegas after the 2019 Billboard Music Awards on May 1, which also took place in Sin City. The couple, who got engaged in October of 2017, said ‘I do’ at A Little White Wedding Chapel in front of an Elvis impersonator and Joe’s brothers, Nick and Kevin.
However, in 2023, the couple split and divorced shortly thereafter.
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos eloped on May 1, 1996, and they’ve never looked back since. The couple celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary in 2019, and their love continues to grow every single day. Mark and Kelly share three children together.
