A released memoir claims that a senior Secret Service agent who was part of former President Barack Obama’s security detail intentionally violated his duties on multiple occasions while he attempted to establish a romantic relationship with his former girlfriend.

Per ABC News, the book, titled Undercover Heartbreak: a Memoir of Trust and Trauma, was written by the former agent’s girlfriend Koryeah Dwanyen, and released on October 28.

The memoir makes mention of occasions where the former agent, who is given the pseudonym “Dale”, committed possible security breaches while guarding the Obamas’ Hawaii beachfront home. Dwanyen says that in one instance in 2022, the former agent arranged for her to come over to the beach house while the former president and his family were not around.

The memoir states that a week before Dwanyen was invited, the agent proposed that she come over for a tour and sent her “several photos” of the former First Family’s residence.

“No one will know. If anything, I’m the one who could get in trouble,” the agent reportedly says in the book. The book further states that the former agent tabled another daring proposal, which was getting intimate in the former First Lady Michelle Obama’s bathroom.

“We should have sex in Michelle [Obama]’s bathroom, like a mile-high club,” the former agent allegedly says in the memoir, per ABC News.

The Secret Service ultimately launched an investigation into the former agent’s actions after they became aware of the alleged security breaches.

“The U.S. Secret Service’s top priority is ensuring the safety and security of our protectees, and any actions that compromise this commitment are addressed with the utmost seriousness,” the agency’s chief of communications, Anthony Guglielmi, told the news outlet.

Guglielmi also said that something similar to the claims over the security breaches in Hawaii had happened. He said when they later became aware of it, the agent in question was suspended and later terminated after an investigation.

“On Nov. 6, 2022, a Secret Service agent involved in protective functions brought an individual who did not have authorized access into a protectee’s residence without permission,” Guglielmi disclosed. “As soon as the Secret Service became aware of the incident, the agent involved was immediately suspended and after a full investigation, terminated.”

“Although the protectees were not present at the time of the incident, these actions were an unacceptable violation of our protocols, our protectees’ trust and everything we stand for,” he added.

The allegations cited in the memoir come after the Secret Service came under fire over the assassination attempt on President-elect Donald Trump during his July rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
